Captain Abhilasha Barak created history on Wednesday by becoming the first woman officer who join the Army aviation corps as a combat Aviator.
Captain Abhilasha Barak family lives in Panchkula Haryana. Her father’s name is Om Singh he served in the J and K light infantry.
Barak has completed 6 months of combat Army aviation course. Director-General Lt General A K Suri, Commandant, Army Aviation awarded her the coveted wings along with 36 Army pilots at a Valedictory ceremony held at combat Army Aviation Training School, Nashik.
She was commissioned in Army Air Defence Corps in September 2018. Barack did a number of professional military courses before joining the Army aviation corps.
