Tarun Joshi attended St. Paul School in Kota for his education. He graduated from Punjab Engineering College with a B.E. in Aeronautical. At the Indian School of Business, he then completed an MBA in Finance.

CAREER

When Tarun originally began his career, he worked with the DRDO as a scientist. There, he was instrumental in creating the flight control systems for Tejas, India’s first lightweight, high-agility supersonic fighter aircraft, which the Indian Air Force (IAF) began using in July 2016. He later created the world’s first biometric ATM as part of a trailblazing programme that used technology to get beyond linguistic hurdles and make low-income microfinance customers in India more financially included.

At two of the top private equity companies in the world (3i and CVCI), where he successfully led and managed investments totaling more than $500 million in India, Tarun gained more than 12 years of investing expertise. Additionally, he invests in E-commerce, Financial Services, Technology, and Consumer industries as an active angel investor in Indian start-ups.
