Spanning over three decades in the film industry, Joy Badlani has appeared in around two-hundred movies in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Bengali cinema ( in supporting roles). Some of his earlier films are- The Mohanlal starrer Vandanam (1989), His Highness Abdullah (1999), and the Mammootty starrer Dhruvam (1993).
Some of his films that he did in other languages are -The Rajinikanth starrer Padaiyappa (Tamil), Wanted (Bengali), Mahesh Babu`s Dookudu (Telugu), the Vijay starrer Thuppakki (Tamil), and Akshay Kumar`s Gold (Hindi). More recently, he was seen in the movies such as Allu Ramendran (2019), Kavacha (2019), and Maharshi (2019).
