The incumbent Vigilance Commissioner, Suresh N Patel has been appointed as the acting Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) of India in the Central Vigilance Commission with impact. He has been appointed in place of Sanjay Kothari, who finished his term on June 23, 2021. He will stay on the post until the appointment of the new Central Vigilance Commissioner.
As per the statement released by the Personnel Ministry, Patel had been the Member of the Banker’s Institute of Rural Development at NABARD, a member of the management committee of the Indian Bank’s Association, President of the State Level Banker’s Committee in Andhra Pradesh, and President of the Banker’s Institute of Rural and Entrepreneurship Development.
