Dhritishman Chakraborty of Nazira in the district of Sivasagar has been conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (Art & Culture) this year.
He was born on 16th March 2016 in Nazira, Assam.
His father’s name is Debajit Chakraborty and his mother’s name is Sonam Chakraborty.
Dhritishman has been noted as the youngest multilingual singer in the India Book of Records.
According to his parents, Dhritishman, at the age of 11 months, started taking notes of the lyrics of a song. His parents are completely supporting his childhood dream of being a rock singer. At this minor age, he believes that he will achieve it all one day.
He has been singing since the age of 3 years, has 43 music video covers- three in English, 33 in Hindi, four in Bengali, and three in Assamese at the age of 4. When he was just 11 months old, he first grasped the lyrics of a song. Being supported by his parents, he believes to achieve his dream of becoming a rock singer. Jayanta Hazarika’s everlasting song Tomar Morome Mur Dehat Tulile Dhou went viral on social media a few days ago. Apart from this, Dhritishman has participated in many popular Assamese and Bengali television shows. The 5-year old kid has also had the opportunity to meet legendary cricketer Saurav Ganguly. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared the song performed by Dhritishman.
Chakraborty can sing in Assamese, Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Sanskrit, Sinhalese, etc, and at the age of 3 was deemed the ‘youngest multilingual singer’ by the India Book of Records. He also loves playing the drums and ukulele.
