Hav Satpal Bhasin’s wife’s name is Rita and the two have children.
Havaldar Satpal Bhasin was born in Mufti village in Jammu district of J & K. Son of Sri Bishan Dass, Hav Satpal Bhasin belonged to 6 Dogra of the Dogra Regiment and was serving in the Manipur area during 2015. He was part of the contingent of the 6 Dogra unit which was attacked by militants in Manipur on 5th June 2015. Hav Satpal Bhasin was martyred in that gun battle with the militants.
The incident was reported to be one of the most deadly attacks by militants in the area. Hav Satpal Bhasin was one of the 18 brave soldiers who lost his life in this horrendous ambush. The martyrs of this incident were brought to their hometowns where they were cremated with full military honors. Hundreds of civilians and army personnel paid their tributes. The supreme sacrifice of Hav Satpal Bhasin and his fellow soldiers will always be remembered.
