Career
Salmin Sheriff has been involved in theatre for over 25 years. He was a founder member, with Mahesh Dattani, of the theatre group Playpen. Salmin started his theatre career as an actor and has acted in several plays over the years. Recently, he acted in The Retreating World, Stalowa Wola, and The Unseen. Salmin wrote his first play Self Portrait in 1992 and it was performed in Bangalore at that time. He has written and directed several plays over the years. He is at present writing a play about tribal displacement.

Salmin Sheriff became famous after the tremendous success of Nirmal Anand Ki Puppy (2020), War (2019), The Sky Is Pink (2019), and Shreelancer ( 2017). He has narrated two audible books, and they are “Khullam Khulla,” & “The Target.”
