Personal Life
He was born in 1997. His father is Devanand Singh and his mother is Punam Devi. His family is from Kumhari village in the Kadwa block of Katihar, Bihar.
Education
Subham did his primary schooling at his village school. Later, he completed his further schooling at Vidya Vihar Residential School, Parora, Purnia, and Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, Jharkhand. After completing his schooling, Shubham appeared for JEE and secured 219th rank, and got admission to civil engineering in IIT Bombay. According to him, the education at IIT has played a pivotal role in shaping his personality.
Career
His first attempt at UPSC in 2018 didn’t succeed. In 2019, he managed to secure an All India rank of 268 and got selected for Indian Defence Accounts Service. Subham is currently undergoing training at the National Academy of Defence Financial Management (NADFM), Pune.
Later, in his 3rd attempt at civil services in 2020, he secured AIR 1. It was after 33 years that someone achieved this feat.
In an interview, he said that as a child in the village, he saw people facing a lot of problems and at that very time he decided to become an IAS officer and help them.
