Tushar Jalota was born on 25 March 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His mother’s name is Neelam Jalota. He is the nephew of famous singer and musician Anup Jalota. He got married to Sharada Karki Jalota and they have a daughter named Tara.

He has done his education at M.M.K College, Bandra, and also joined the Learner’s Academy.

He worked as an assistant director in so many blockbuster movies with popular directors. He assisted Bhatt Brothers in the films like Murder (2004), Zeher (2005), Kalyug (2005), Jannat 2 (2012), and many more. He also assisted Anurag Basu with his film Barfi (2012). He assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the most romantic movie, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
In 2007, he debuted as an actor in the film, Showbiz, in Hindi Film Industry.
In 2022, he debuted as a Director. ‘David’ is the first film that he directed.
He was also part of the ‘Celebrity Cricket League’ under Mumbai Heroes.
