Vivek Kumar Yadav is an Indian judoka who participated in the 60kg men’s category. On the 1st of August 2022, he won a bronze medal in the judo 60 kg category at the commonwealth games 2022.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Vivek was born on the 15th of April 1996(Monday) in Sulemapur village, Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name is Dashrath Yadav he works at an agriculture machinery manufacturing company in Chandigarh and his mother’s name is Chinta Devi. He has two brothers (Raju Yadav who is a soldier in the Indian army and Vikash Yadav is a sports coach)and two sisters. his zodiac sign is Aries. His coach’s name is Kashi Naresh Yadav. He belongs to a financially weak family.

CAREER
At 7 years old, he started his training in wrestling at a training center in lalpur, Varanasi. Then he continued his training in Gorakhpur. Then, viijay attended dr sampurnanand sports stadium Sigra, Varanasi fir his training. Cautiously, he started developing an interest in judo. In the center, he met the Indian judo coach Kashi Naresh Yadav. In 2008, Naresh Yadav invited Vijay to a sports academy in Saharanpur and recommended Vijay to start his training in judo. Vijay moved to the hostel of the sports authority of the India center in Lucknow. He spent a few years of his training at the sports authority of India, Bhopal unit. Then he participated in various national and international judo tournaments including the Asian open in Hong Kong in 2018, the commonwealth championship in Walsall in 2019, Budapest grand Prix in 2019, the world championship senior 2019, and the tel Aviv grand slam in 2021.
In August 2022, he defeated Cyprus’ Petros christodoulides via iPhone to win a bronze medal at the commonwealth games in the 60 kg men’s category in judo.
