His modelling career began with ramp presentations for renowned Indian fashion designers. He participated in the 2008 Haywards 5000 Mr. India contest and placed in the top ten. Amit took part in the fourth season of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi on Colors TV in 2011. He later made his acting debut on television by appearing in the Sahib TV programme Teri Meri Prem Kahaani. With Titto MBA, he made his Bollywood debut in 2014. Later, he appeared in movies like Marjaavan, Arjun Patiala, and Punjabi Jatt Ki Pyaar (2019). He took part in Bigg Boss Hindi 13 in 2020 as a wild card contestant.
