Namanveer Singh Brar was well known, Indian trap shooter and lawyer. He came into the limelight when he shot himself with his own licensed pistol and died on the spot at his resistance in Mohali Punjab.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Manvir Singh was born on 14 June 1993 in a Punjabi family in Faridkot, Punjab. His father’s and mother’s names are Arvinder Singh Brar and Harpreet Bano Brar respectively. His sibling named Dr. Prabhusukhman Brar is a trap shooter.
She got married to Prabkiran Naman Brar on 13 November 2020. At the time of his death in 2021, Prabkiran’s wife was expecting a child.
CAREER
Namanveer Veer started his practice in shooting while he was in the second year of his graduation. His family shifted from Faridkot, Punjab to Mohali, Punjab in 2009 because of Namanveer so that he could get better facilities to practice shooting.
Namanveer won a gold medal in the World University Games in Finland in 2013. He won a bronze medal in the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. He used to provide training to the budding shooters. Amanendra Mann is one of the shooting coaches at DAV College, Chandigarh.
DEATH
Namanveer returned home late and went to his room while his wife who was pregnant was sleeping with her mother-in-law. He went to his room and shoot himself with his licensed Austria-made Glock Pistol. On hearing the voice of a gunshot, his family rushed to his room.
