Deepinder Goyal is a Co-Founder and CEO of a food delivery service in India known as Zomato. He is also a Senior Associate Consultant of Bain & Company ( Zomato is an aggregator of multinational restaurants. It was founded in 2008. The renamed Zomato from Foodiebay happened in 2011. Zomato has the facility of providing information about restaurants with menus and reviews by customers. Along with India, Zomato is available in 24 different countries and in more than 10,000 cities. )

Deepinder Goyal belongs to a humble and middle-class family. He was born on 26 January 1983 in his hometown known as Muktsar, Punjab, India. He belongs to a very educated family, his mother and father both worked as a teacher. His Spouse’s name is Kanchan Joshi, they met during their college life in IIT Delhi. They have a daughter named Siara.

He has done his Graduation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2005 with a Mathematics and Computing Degree.

ABOUT
When he was in IIT Delhi, final year he had an idea. While ordering a pizza he thought why everyone calls Dominos and another restaurant for meals. He worked on his idea joined Bain and Company, where he observed how employees would crowd in the canteen every day to see menus and mealtime. In 2008, he left Bain and Company to start Foodiebay. Along with Pankaj Chaddah, started collecting menus of different restaurants and uploading those with contact details. They made the service’s website on the Internet by www.foodiebay.com and later made a public website. After some time Foodiebay renamed Zomato derived from the word ‘tomato’. Goyal was a man on a mission, and that is evident with Zomato finally earning the billion-dollar company status. Goyal is a real inspiration for the youth.
