Dharminder Singh was an Indian professional Kabaddi player.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Dharminder Singh was born on 26 June in Patiala, Punjab, India in a Jaat family. His brother’s name is Gurvinder Singh. He was married and had two children. He had a daughter named Noorveer and a son named Guru Fateh.

EDUCATION

Dharminder Singh did his schooling at the local government school in Patiala and completed his higher education at Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab.

CAREER

Dharminder Singh had a childhood dream to pursue his career in sports. He used to do practice for 5 to 6 hours a day to enhance his body flexibility and muscles. Later he was chosen as a member of the Daun Kalan village Kabaddi club.

DEATH

Dharminder Singh was the President of the Daun Kalan village Kabaddi club and he was politically very active.
On 5 April 2022, he was shot dead after a clash between his village and Tehri village which took place in front of Punjabi University in Patiala. According to the reports, he was chased by his rival group after he represented his villagers during a meeting with the rival group at Dhaba outside the campus. The incident happened on Tuesday went two groups had a big argument and it took a violent turn then a gunshot was fired that wounded the victim who died on the spot.
During the investigation, Harbir Singh who was a student of another University had a personal conflict with the victim. He was the President of the Daun Kalan village Kabaddi club and he was politically very active.
