Personal life
He was born in the 1990s in Bhavnagar, Gujarat
His father runs an educational institution in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. As a self-taught teacher, he had to fight hard in the first years of his career. When he started on his own, his family supported every decision.
Education
He did his schooling at his father’s institute.
He is a 23-year-old IIT dropout and co-founder of the payment app BharatPe. He was in his third year at IIT-Delhi and was studying for a bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology when he recognized a business opportunity for a payment gateway that is accessible to entrepreneurs and not eaten from their margins. To develop a payment gateway that fulfilled these requirements, he made use of the interoperability feature of the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).
